Terms of Service

These terms explain how you may use Clear Margins, including the free calculators and the paid Clear Margins Pro subscription.

Last updated: June 6, 2026

1. Agreement to these terms

By using Clear Margins, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you use Clear Margins for a company or other organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.

If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the site or purchase Clear Margins Pro.

2. What Clear Margins provides

Clear Margins provides business calculators and decision-support tools for pricing, profit margin, discounts, returns, ROAS, inventory, hiring, utilization, churn, pricing tiers, sales pipeline velocity, SEO traffic value, CAC, LTV, and runway planning. Clear Margins Pro adds paid access to saved scenarios, exports, and a premium dashboard.

The tools are informational only. Results depend on the inputs you provide and are not financial, legal, accounting, investment, or tax advice. You are responsible for checking any output before relying on it in your business.

3. Pro access and saved data

Pro access is activated after a subscription is verified through Paddle. In the current version of Clear Margins, some saved scenarios and access details may be stored locally in your browser. Clearing browser data, changing devices, or using private browsing may remove local saved scenarios or require you to restore access.

You are responsible for keeping your device and browser session secure. Do not share Pro access in a way that avoids payment or disrupts the service.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Paid subscriptions are processed through Paddle. Paddle may act as merchant of record or seller of record for purchases, and Paddle handles checkout, payment methods, invoices, applicable taxes, and certain buyer support according to its own terms.

Subscription prices, renewal periods, and taxes are shown at checkout before purchase. Unless cancelled, recurring subscriptions renew automatically according to the billing period shown at checkout.

Paddle terms may also apply to your purchase. You can review them at Paddle Buyer Terms.

5. Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel a subscription through the billing portal, Paddle subscription emails, or by contacting support. Cancellation stops future renewal and typically leaves Pro access active until the end of the paid billing period, unless Paddle or Clear Margins indicates otherwise.

Refund requests are handled under the Clear Margins Refund Policy. Nothing in these terms limits refund, withdrawal, cancellation, or consumer rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use Clear Margins for unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity.
  • Interfere with, overload, scrape, or disrupt the site or its infrastructure.
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or resell substantial parts of the service.
  • Attempt to bypass checkout, subscription limits, or access controls.
  • Upload or submit content that violates another person's rights.

7. Ownership

Clear Margins and its site content, design, code, branding, and product features are owned by Clear Margins or its licensors. You may use the service for your own internal business planning, but these terms do not transfer ownership of the product to you.

Your calculator inputs and business scenarios remain yours. By using the service, you give Clear Margins the limited permission needed to process those inputs and provide the requested tools.

8. Third-party services

Clear Margins relies on third-party services including hosting, checkout, payment processing, and security providers. These services may have their own terms and privacy notices. Clear Margins is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.

9. Service changes and availability

Clear Margins may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We aim to keep the service useful and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free results.

10. Disclaimers and liability

Clear Margins is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clear Margins disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Clear Margins will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the service.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, create risk for the service, or use the product in a way that could harm other users, Clear Margins, or third-party providers. You may stop using Clear Margins at any time.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product, billing setup, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of Clear Margins after changes means you accept the updated terms.
